Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., two mountains of men, differed in their social philosophies and approaches to some of the same grave racial problems that plague our world today. We play witness to a fictional meeting of these royal souls - two of the most important of the 20th century and great beams of light in the acknowledgment of the social guidance of African ancestors in America for true freedom and equality. Debating their two distinct approaches, Dr. King and Malcolm X prepared to die for their beliefs neither aware of how soon assassins’ bullets would futilely attempt to end their forever enshrined legacies in the sacred halls of Black Heritage. Africana Studies and Theatre & Dance is proud to present their legacy this African Heritage Month.
